The Journal of Clinical Psychiatry prides itself on its evidence-based and clinically relevant content. We also take pride in the way we look when we come to your doorstep. You no doubt have noticed that our Cover, Table of Contents, and, with this issue, our Abstracts have a new, fresh, and inviting look. So far, we’ ve heard nothing but rave reviews, and knowing that our hard work has paid off is gratifying.

Thanks to you, our readers, who participated in our surveys and kudos to our staff who have provided a finished product that will make reading JCP an even more pleasurable experience. Our thinking and design have literally led us outside the box. We have given our articles and features a new and open space in which to shine. We expect to entice you to open our cover and easily move from the contents page to the content that has become the hallmark of our well-read and highly cited journal.

Over the years, I have heard so many readers refer to JCP as the "white" journal. Surely, there can be no question of that fact now.

Our purposeful redesign of our printed page is just one of many exciting changes we are in the process of making. Soon to be unveiled will be a new look for PSYCHIATRIST.COM that will make using our popular Web site easier than ever.

Yet, although we are updating and improving our look, we are certain to maintain the bedrock of our success: providing you, our readers with the quality of research and consistency of editing that you have come to rely on over the years.
