Dr. Ballenger: Is there a link between serotonin and behavioral inhibition?
Professor Nutt: Serotonin increases behavioral inhibition and that raises interesting issues as to how SSRIs work in social phobia. As in panic disorder, we may have 2 totally opposite theories.
