These 2 delightful volumes are written for patients andrelatives of patients, although their information also wouldmake them of interest to medical students and psychiatricresidents. There is considerable overlap in topics—bothhave discussions of the brain and neurotransmitters, a reviewof medications used to treat depression, a reviewof psychotherapies used to treat these disorders, and a discussionof other treatments including ECT, transcranialmagnetic stimulation, and vagus nerve stimulation.
