Sir: Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a condition manifestedby overall hypoxia of major body systems. The followingcase is an illustration of several interesting connectionsbetween OSA and the utilization of various psychopharmacologicagents.

 
Case report. Mr. A, a 35-year-old married white male, wasdiagnosed with DSM-IV posttraumatic stress disorder related toseveral exposures to occupationally related trauma, depression,and anxiety.
