Sir: Tan et al.1 describe an antidepressant effect ofrepetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) in apregnant woman with recurrent major depressive disorder.The association of estrogen and depressive disorder is wellknown.Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) occurs in women ofchildbearing age in the second half of the menstruationcycle and consists of emotional, behavioral, and physicalsymptoms.
